Embark for an unforgettable road trip across the UK!

 

Summer and holidays can be synonymous with beaches and idleness. But they can also be an opportunity to quench your thirst for exploration. So we've put together a special ten-day itinerary for you. LONDON
Start your trip in London, England's vibrant capital. Take time to visit must-see sites such as the Tower of London, the British Museum and the London Eye. At Buckingham Palace, you can watch the famous Changing of the Guard and explore the palace's magnificent gardens. Discover British culture through its pubs, bookshops and markets.

Day 2: London to Oxford

(100 km, approx. 1-hour 30-minute drive)

 

Head west to Oxford, famous for its prestigious university. Stroll the cobbled streets, visit the historic colleges and some of the city's many museums. Visit the Radcliffe Camera, the iconic library designed by architect James Gibbs. It houses an important collection of books on the humanities and social sciences, and offers splendid views from its top.

Day 3: Oxford to Stratford-upon-Avon

(70 km, approx. 1-hour drive)

To save time once you're there, book a recharging point before you leave. 

Continue on to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Here you can visit the playwright's house, stroll along the picturesque River Avon to his burial place. And if you want to see a performance of one of his plays, visit the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre.

Day 4: Stratford-upon-Avon to Birmingham

(55 km, approx. 1-hour drive)

 

Continue on to Birmingham. Its art museum features a vast collection of artefacts ranging from Roman archaeology to contemporary art, as well as interactive exhibitions on the city's history. If you fancy a shopping spree, the Bullring & Grand Central shopping centre is sure to please. Afterwards, you can sample an Indian or Pakistani speciality in the Balti Triangle district.

Day 5: Birmingham to Manchester

(150 km, approx. 2-hour drive)

 

Drive to Manchester. Explore the city's historic districts and admire the Gothic architecture of Manchester Cathedral. Stroll the lively streets of the bohemian Northern Quarter, discover the street art and enjoy the creative atmosphere. Day 6: Manchester to Liverpool

(60 km, approx. 1-hour drive)

Set off for Liverpool, famous for its rich maritime heritage and for its "Four Boys in the Wind". The Beatles Story museum traces the history of the legendary band, taking you on an immersive journey through their lives and music. For a 360° view, climb to the top of one of the two magnificent clock towers of the Royal Liver Building. You can also stroll along the waterfront, admiring the architecture and the River Mersey.

Spend some time at the majestic Temple Newsam, an estate on the outskirts of Leeds. You can stroll through the landscaped gardens, visit the historic house and learn more about its past.

Day 8: Leeds to York

(40 km, approx. 1-hour drive)

 

Visit York, an old city with a rich history. The interactive Jorvik Viking Centre will take you on a journey through the Viking Age in York, as if you were there. Explore medieval Shambles Street, with its half-timbered houses. Visit the castle museum, not forgetting the cathedral, one of the largest in Northern Europe, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding area from its heights. 

Day 9: York to Nottingham

(140 km, approx. 1-hour 45-minute drive)

 

Head south to Nottingham, famous for the legend of Robin Hood. Visit the castle, its underground passages and stroll through its landscaped gardens. By exploring the Justice Museum, housed in a former prison, you can learn more about the history of the justice system in England. For lunch in the Lace Market area, recharge your electric vehicle. Day 10: Nottingham to Cambridge
