TRANSFORMATION OF THE FAMILY GRAIN MILL INTO A STEEL MILL
Jean-Pierre and Jean-Frédéric Peugeot diversify their activity with the production of steel tapes for sewing and saw blades and springs for watchmaking.

LAUNCH AND COMMERCIALISATION OF TYPE 3 SERIES
The first car in the world to be mass-produced (64 copies), the type 3 series Valentigney-Paris and follows the first Paris-Brest-Paris cycling race on 2045

SEPARATION OF TRADITIONAL AND AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING
Peugeot Frères' sons continued traditional manufactures (cycles, tools.) while Armand Peugeot created the Société Anonyme des Automobiles

Abandonment of workshops for an installation in the first factory totally dedicated to the automobile in Audincourt (25). A second factory becomes operational in Lille (59) in 1898.

PRESENTATION OF PEUGEOT LION CARS
The sons of Peugeot Frères are also engaged in the production of automobiles under the Lion PEUGEOT brand with a different range of Peugeot Automobiles, Thus avoiding competition

CONSOLIDATION OF PRODUCTS
Association of the sons of Peugeot Frères with Armand Peugeot and creation of the Société Anonyme des Automobiles et Cycles PEUGEOT. All manufactures are now part of the same entity.

CREATION OF THE SOCHAUX FACTORY
In 1929, it will bring together all the productions of Automobiles PEUGEOT and will become the largest industrial site in France.
In 2012, it celebrated its 100th anniversary, making it the oldest car factory still in operation in the world to this day.
