Peugeot Introduces the New Landtrek Pick-up in Kenya

PEUGEOT has officially launched its latest alluring pick-up truck, the PEUGEOT LANDTREK, into the Kenyan market. The vehicle was officially unveiled at the French Embassy in Nairobi by the French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Mr. Olivier Becht. Also present at the launch was the French Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Arnaud Suquet who expressed his optimism about the positive impact the vehicle will have on the Kenyan automotive industry. The launch of the Peugeot Landtrek comes six years after Urysia and PSA Groupe signed an agreement with the Kenyan Government to commence the local assembly of Peugeot vehicles. In the same year (2017), former President Uhuru Kenyatta and President Emmanuel Macron officially launched the Peugeot 3008 SUV – the first passenger vehicle to be locally assembled in Kenya.

PSA Groupe and Urysia Limited have signed a contract to assemble Peugeot brand vehicles in Kenya. The assembly project is scheduled to commence in June 2017 with an annual volume of 1000 units. The signing ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya.
